About this Product
Krj WoodCraft

Meet the Maker
I'm a 78 year old semi-retired vet who enjoys making just about anything from wood. As dangerous as it is I enjoy watching a piece come to life with the Lichtenberg burning. A great deal of care and pride goes into each individual piece.

How it’s Made
First a blank for the roller is made by laminating the different types of wood to be used. The blank is sawn at a 6º angle and then turned on the wood lathe. After turning the roller is wet sanded with Tung oil and left 48 hours to cure, this process is repeated 3 times to ensure a perfectly smooth surface on the roller. A complimentary wood is selected for the handles which are also turned on the wood lathe. The handles have the same Tung Oil sanding as the roller and are then attached. The handles and roller become a single piece and the roller does not turn separately from the handles.
