This is a gardening kit for kids and families who would like to grow a vegetable garden. The seed kit comes with 11 different vegetable seeds and a full color gardening cookbook. The Book: The vegetable cookbook is printed in colorful photos and includes growing instructions for all of the seeds listed below along with an easy recipe to cook each of them. Recipes included: Cucumber pickles, Carrot cake, Sesame Peas, Pizza with peppers and fresh roasted heirloom Tomato sauce. The Pumpkin muffins with syrup frosting are amazing! The Kit: The box features a photo of all the delicious vegetables you can grow from the seeds in the box. Box size 9x6x3. There are 6 peat pots and 12 peat pellets for a total of 18 plants. 12 plant markers are also included along with a detailed instruction card on starting seeds with pots and pellets. There are 11 seed envelopes in the garden kit to go along with the 11 vegetables featured in the vegetable cookbook. Purple Dragon Carrots - Beautiful purple colored carrots. ( 1/8 teaspoon seeds) Green and yellow Bush beans - great for growing in pots. (15 seeds) Red Teardrop Cherry tomato - bright red clusters of cherry tomatoes with a pointy tip at the bottom. ( 15 seeds) Mescalin Lettuce - A mix of green and red leaf varieties for a colorful salad. ( 1/8 teaspoon seeds) Green Zucchini - easy to grow and delicious made into Zucchini pancakes. ( 10 seeds) New England Pumpkins - good for carving and eating.( 8 seeds) Red green onions - early spring grower. Wonderful chopped and made into a herb dip. Snap peas - an early spring plant with edible pods, easy to grow for beginners. (25 seeds) Cucumbers - crunchy, yellow cucumbers. (10 seeds) Lunchbox sweet bell peppers - mini bell peppers in red and orange. Great for containers. ( 15 seeds) Heirloom tomatoes - Mortgage Lifter -large yellow tomatoes with pink interior streaks. ( 15 seeds) NOTE: This DIY garden kit ships without soil for the pots due to weight. You can buy soil for the peat pots or use the pots to hold the pellets upright. All the seeds in my shop are grown in my pesticide free garden and hand collected by me. Gift Wrap includes kraft paper wrap, black or green bakers twine, a gift tag and a black, red or stripped french ticking ribbon with faux moss and greenery.
