This amazing tote is based on the first one I made 15 years ago, AND I AM STILL USING IT TODAY! Reinforced with french seams, and bound handles keep this investment going for years to come. It folds up and has custom ties that wrap around to store compactly in your handbag/backpack pocket/fanny pack/glove compartment... cashiers at the grocery store are sometimes amazed when I whip 3 out of my purse and they hold the contents of my cart of groceries. I've made the original design a bit wider so that you can fit some records in them. Ties are also longer than the original design, and 4 layers of fabric sturdy enough that they wrap around and need just one twist and tug- no knot! Though some friends do knot theirs and just fold it and stuff it through when ready to store again. Kinda like a sleeping bag. Bag measures about 16"x16" and with handles included is about 24" tall. Folded dimensions are about 6"x3"x1.5" Striped tote is shown in listing as folding instruction/suggestion.
Machine wash and dry.
This bag is based on a pattern from the One Yard Wonders, which has so many cute projects in it, in case you know your way around a sewing machine <3
Fabric is black with sugar skull cat spirits of cuteness. Ties are black with white (glow-in-the-dark!) and orange stars and moons. Black reinforcing trim around handles with red stitching.

Meet the Maker
I have been in the PNW for the most of my life, and have been making art for even longer! Take a look at my offerings that range from everyday use carry-all bags and pouches to fine art that will bring curiosity, comfort and or joy for years to come. With a BFA in Visual Design from the University of Oregon and years of experience in designing custom pieces, one of my proudest accomplishments was providing several hundred handmade masks after creating them with the most up-to-date knowledge during the Covid19 pandemic. Currently I create in my home while I also teach Pilates, substitute as a teaching assistant in Life Skills classrooms, and sometimes playing dark cuts at our local monthly goth night... all while single-mothering my two growing bebes- hindered only by the naughtiest snoopervisor cats I've ever met- OCTOPAW
How it’s Made
Lots of time at the ironing table, with a few or a lot of pins, depending on how long that tie is. Then sewing, more pressing, some more sewing, another pressing. Soooo many pins around those handles. Then back to the sewing machine. OH! Scissors. Many cuts, snips and trims from cutting table to finish. Each bag takes a few hours! I like to stock up when the fabric stores get their halloween inventory in.
