Meet the Maker
Sue is an artist living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of SW Virginia, Salem to be exact. She has painted most of her life and hopes to be painting when she passes. She has dabbled in all the mediums and currently enjoys collage. Preferring to stay indoors, since the heat has gotten so bad, in the autumn or spring she still enjoys plein aire painting.
How it’s Made
After I gesso the canvas to give it a smoother surface, I use paint brushes and tiny little bottles with acrylic in them to make the marks and shapes.
It is also possible I use any other tools like sticks to make marks.
I always finish with a satin varnish to protect the paint. You can clean it with a damp rag. Do not use cleaners or solvents.
