About this Product
Bring nature into your home year round! This hand built mug is so comfortable in the hands! The botanical ginkgo pattern is carried throughout, including at the base of the handle, and the bottom of the mug. The gorgeous green glaze breaks a pretty gold over the leaf texture. It has a very cozy 3 finger handle. It is perfect for 16 oz of your favorite warm beverages, and would be a great gift for a guy or a gal!
Meandering Stream Ceramics
Meet the Maker
Hello! I’m Carrie, the face behind Meandering Stream Ceramics! I took my first pottery class in January 2023, and was hooked. Now I need to sell some pieces to make room in my house, and to support my habit. ;) I’m often inspired by nature and the colorful world we live in.
My day job is teaching singing lessons! Music is my first passion. My husband is also a musician - we met in music school! Our family is rounded out with our 2 adult kids, and our rescue doggo Bailey. We live in the far west burbs of Chicago, but have family connections to Northern Michigan and Newfoundland, Canada. I am often inspired, and awed, by the beauty of where we grew up.
How it’s Made
This mug is hand built from a rolled slab of stoneware. The ginkgo leaf pattern is applied before the actual building of the mug. The handle is also hand built, with the sweet leaf detail applied to the bottom. The glazes are hand brushed onto the surface, and are food safe.

These are unique, one of a kind, handmade ceramic items. There may be small imperfections, but none that disrupt the functionality of the piece.
Handmade ceramics are made with love and soul, unlike mass produced store items. I put a lot of thought into the creation, shape, and glazing of each and every piece.
It’s this connection that makes them special!
