These matching purse and coin purse sets made from quilt top squares, make the perfect gift for the girl who loves to take her favorite things, and a little cash, with her. The purses are elastic at the top, making it easy for small hands to take things in and out. The coin purse has an easy pearl snap closure. The handles are long enough to carry as a shoulder bag. These are newer quilt top squares, not vintage. The fabric used for the lining and handles comes from a local quilt shop that a friend of mine owns. I hand stitched the quilt topper to cotton blend batting. These are one of a kind, handmade items. Spot or handwash and air dry. Iron as needed.
Bag size is approximately 9-1/2"W x 8"H, handles are 1"W x 17-1/2"L. Coin purse size is approximately 4-3/4"W x 3-1/2" closed.

Meet the Maker
Hello! Welcome to my shop! My mom taught me to sew in the early 80's. I made a lot of my clothes back then. By the mid-90s, I realized I had a love of vintage and antique things. I found ways to use repurpose the "junk" as decor. In 2019, I started buying and reselling vintage finds and hand painted furniture. In July of 2024, I made a hard right turn and started collecting cutter quilts, old grain and feed sacks and other vintage material, then hauled out the sewing machine and went to work. I am a repurposer at heart. I love turning what is no longer serviceable as it is, into something pretty and useful.
I live in rural SE Ohio, part of the Appalachians. I love living almost in the middle of nowhere and being able to say, "I have to run to town". I enjoy hitting flea markets and estate sales with my husband, spending time in the garden and behind the camera, and hanging with my fur kids.
