About this Product
This handcrafted wind chime is upcycled from a discarded wine bottle. I started by glass cutting the bottle, and decoupaging the scene of the seaside villa. I filled in sky and garden elements with chalk paint and sealed the bottle with several coats of UV/heat resistant varnish. I created the sail of the wind chime from an old Ball Jar lid and sealed it with varnish as well.

Having semi-retired from professional opticianry, I looked for something to occupy my creative side. I started decoupaging a gallon size pickle jar and was instantly hooked by Mod Podge Mania. Determined to not blow through my retirement savings in one year, I source all of my projects from upcycled and salvaged treasures. This shop is dedicated to all things decoupaged and the philosophy of making something from nothing.
