About this Product
"Golden Divide: Geometric Horizons" is a captivating piece that exudes both vibrancy and meticulous geometric design. Measuring 14 inches by 18 inches, this acrylic, modeling paste, and gold leaf creation showcases a modern and abstract style. The composition is dominated by rich blue hues and punctuated by a striking horizontal line of gold that serves as a central divider. In the upper portion of the artwork, intricate, abstract white lettering overlays a blue background, forming a detailed, tapestry-like pattern that compels closer inspection. Below this golden line, the scene transitions seamlessly into a dynamic landscape. Here, sharp, angular, triangular forms in various sizes and shades of white and blue create a stylized mountain range, infused with a sense of movement and dimensionality. A golden circle nestled among the peaks adds a warm, sun-like or moon-like focal point, contrasting beautifully with the cooler tones and bringing a harmonic balance to the piece. "Golden Divide: Geometric Horizons" is not just visually stunning but also rich in texture, inviting viewers to explore its many layers and details. The harmonious blend of textual elements with a geometric landscape motif makes this artwork an intriguing addition to any collection, offering not just a visual feast but also a tactile experience.
KSanchez Creative Art
Meet the Maker
Hi, I'm Katherine. Art can be a lifetime learning process as we learn new techniques every day. I love making art because I can express my thoughts and run my imagination. What inspires me to create art is the feeling of accomplishments. I like to create different types of art such as landscape, seascape, encaustic wax paintings, and polymer clay jewelry among others. The paintings are mostly made with acrylic paints; however, I also use watercolors, alcohol inks, pan pastels, oil sticks, and distress oxide sprays. I can run my imagination through mixed media projects. When I work on mixed media, I use ephemera papers, embellishments, clay, resin, dry natural flowers, and artificial flowers. My artwork is done on canvas, canvas panels, wood panels, tags, yupo paper, photo paper, and coasters. Love making art as is always a challenge on each piece that I create.
As a multimedia artist, I have been drawn to create a wide range of art. On some of my artwork, I use modeling paste, dioxide distress sprays, acrylic inks, alcohol inks, gel medium, oil sticks, resin, and pan pastels among others. I enjoy the process of each one of them. I paint and create what I see in my own way. I am interested in expressing basic emotions. My reason for painting is to portray color and form in a nice pleasing way. It is also a way for me to develop my own unique artistic voice. For inspiration, I look at The Modernist tradition, and the concept of emphasizing a material's 'competency', In my case, the flatness of paint and it's saturated pure color. Through these inspirations, I hope that my work in multimedia inspire others.

How it’s Made
Painted the background in blue, used modeling paste to make the design, used gold acrylic paint for the sun and the line to separate the script from the design. They represent pyramids on the horizon. Sealed with varnish.
