This gothic style decorative accent started as a discarded Jack Daniels bottle. The surface was covered with strips of paper and decoupaged with two valentine skulls. Clay roses, lock and keys, and textured rope embellish the piece. Then it was painted with chalk paint and finished with matte varnish. It makes the perfect design accent for that goth lover.

Having semi-retired from professional opticianry, I looked for something to occupy my creative side. I started decoupaging a gallon size pickle jar and was instantly hooked by Mod Podge Mania. Determined to not blow through my retirement savings in one year, I source all of my projects from upcycled and salvaged treasures.
