Meet the Maker
We hand make and sell our Grandma Sandino’s Sicilian Sauce ”Garlic Sauce” and four Herbal Seasoning blends; Herbal Dip and Spread, Garlic Butter Mix, Fish Sprinkle and Grandma’s Rub.
We have been making the Sauce for over thirty years. We made it every year the day after Thanksgiving. We called it Garlic Friday. We handed it out as Christmas gifts to family, friends, neighbors and clients.
The recipients of our gifts would stop by our house and beg for more. They would offer to shovel our walks or mow our lawn. They wanted to buy more from us so they didn’t have to wait until next December. We only made enough each year to supply our own needs and we didn’t have certifications and permits to “sell” it to the public.
In December of 2010, It got ridiculous. Dave and I decided to see what it would take to be able to sell it on the Market. In January of 2011 we started Grandma Sandino’s. We went through the process and sold our first Bottle in June at our first Farmer’s Market. We have evolved a lot since then and Grandma Sandino’s is our fulltime business.
We are passionate about high-quality ingredients. We are very picky about what goes into our products. We use only the finest quality ingredients available. We believe in clean nutritious food. We have probably the cleanest label in the Market place. Because we start with “REAL” food we don’t have to add junk to make it taste good.

It literally “Goes On Everything.” Because of the way it’s made and the ingredients we use, our products are not cheap but they are very frugal. As our customers will attest: “ A little goes a long way.”
How it’s Made
We hand clean fresh raw garlic. We grind it up but it is never cooked so it maintains all of the health benefits of raw garlic. We then add olive oil, red wine vinegar, organic cane sugar, granulated garlic, granulated onion, a proprietary blend of Mediterranean herbs and spices and a small amount of citric acid.
Our products are all natural they cater to vegans and meat lovers alike. They are so natural that you can actually read, recognize, and pronounce every ingredients. You can't do that at the store.
Our products are gluten-free, dairy-free, nut free, sodium free, MSG free, soy-free, corn-free, eggs free, vegan and kosher (not certified).They are also NON-GMO certified which is important because it means there's no glyphosate (Roundup) in any of our products. Only those with allergies to Mediterranean herbs, garlic or onion could be affected by our products.
