About this Product

This mauve-gray hand-dyed fingering weight yarn is speckled with bright red. Colorway: I've Got a Little List Base: Crooner -- fingering weight -- 80% superwash merino wool/20% nylon. With its high twist and squishiness, this base has the best of both worlds: soft and strong! Colors: The colors on the monitor might vary slightly from the actual colors of the product. I try my best to take accurate pictures, but depending on your monitor settings and the type of device you're using to view these pictures, your mileage may vary. Size: 400 yds/100 g per skein. One skein should be enough to make a decent-sized scarf or cowl, many different types or patterns of shawls, or a pair of adult medium socks, although your mileage may vary. Care: Machine wash cool (ideally on a gentle cycle) or handwash in lukewarm soapy water. Lay flat to dry. Dyeing Process: All my yarns are commercially-milled and hand-dyed by me in my tiny kitchen using acid dyes. My studio (okay, my apartment, let's not get too precious here) is smoke-free and I process all my yarns with fragrance-free detergents. However, I do have a cat. He's more of a silent partner, but because of him I can't guarantee my products are free of allergens for those folks who can't handle cat dander. Bleeding: I take great care in ensuring that my yarns are colorfast and that they are well-rinsed before shipping out, but it's possible to experience a little bit of bleeding during the first few washings as excess dye is rinsed out of the yarn. This can be influenced by the colors used (red and blue are common culprits) and by the hardness of your washing water. If the bleeding is excessive or persists after more than a few washings, let me know.
