About this Product

Hackmanite Bracelet with 6MM Rounds and 4MM Faceted Rondells with 2MM Chezh Glass Silver Lined Seed Beads, Sterling Silver Clasp and Extender. 7 1/2 in. - 8 1/2 in.

Hackmanite is a rare and fascinating variety of sodalite that exhibits a unique phenomenon called tenebrescence or reversible photochromism, where its color changes when exposed to different lighting conditions. Typically, Hackmanite appears white, gray, pink, or violet, but under ultraviolet light or sunlight, it can turn a deep violet or pink, returning to its original color when the light source is removed.

Hackmanite is believed to possess several powerful properties. It is considered a stone of happiness, joy, and emotional well-being, helping to alleviate stress and promote a positive outlook. Hackmanite is also associated with enhancing intuition, insight, and spiritual growth. It's said to encourage self-acceptance, boost self-esteem, and aid in releasing old emotional traumas. Additionally, its color-changing property symbolizes transformation and adaptability, reminding wearers of their own capacity for change and growth.

Hackmanite is found in several locations worldwide, with notable deposits in Afghanistan, Canada (especially in Quebec), Greenland, Myanmar (Burma), and Tanzania. These regions provide the unique geological conditions necessary for the formation of this remarkable mineral.

Meet the Maker

Hi there! My name is Jami Schwager and I live in a small town in Northeastern Illinois named Johnsburg. We are located near the Chain of Lakes waterway and we (I am including my husband and captain of our vessel) LOVE boating on our Bayliner Cabin Cruiser in the summers! When I’m not on my boat you can usually find me making jewelry. In 2022 I decided to make bracelets out of gemstones for the women in my family for Christmas gifts. I made them each a bracelet using their birthstones. I have been obsessed with making jewelry ever since! I enjoy coming up with new designs and discovering the beauty in each new gemstone I work with. Now I consider making jewelry my passion. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
