Color is my passion. The one phrase that still sticks out to me most from design school is “mother nature is the best colorist”. Paint color selections and palettes for exteriors and interiors are my obsession. When the color is just right, the results are magical!

My most memorial design moments always centered around color! Working as a young assistant in an architecture firm, I was often given the task of selecting exterior color palettes.
Years later, when I appeared on HGTV’s Designers’ Challenge, the outtakes (okay - bloopers) I repeatedly said the name of the wall color which was “Roasted Sesame Seed” as “Roasted Sesame Street”. My first-time mom brain was mixed up and the color name was cut during editing. Years later, I would know when the episode aired again as my inbox would fill with the same question – what is the name of the paint color in the design?
Color has always been the connective thread of my career!
I started Interior Design Service Online in 2007 as a way to bridge the gap between in-house interior design and the online shopping experience. I still do full-service interior, sometimes!
