Flip-Flop Halloween Journal
This handmade one of a kind chunky flip-flop journal is a delight to flip through with its crinkly, squishy feel. It features approximately 31 pockets or tuck spots, and 70 inserts including tags, folded journal pages, and tickets. It is fun and a little bit spooky. There are 6 pamphlet stitched signatures with 12 pages each, 24 if counting both sides, for a total of 144 pages providing abundant space for your journal entries. The pages are a curated selection of papers that are tea dyed, rust dyed, and printed. Closed and tied it measures 9 1/2” tall by 4”wide by 2” thick. Fully opened and extended it measures 26” long. The cover is soft, sturdy and flexible, and is made from heavy brown paper bag with acrylic paint design and acrylic medium to seal it. I have used an assortment of my own designs, and printable tags and designs including Graphics Fairy. It ties closed with a purple velvet ribbon.

Meet the Maker
I am an artist and maker. I love the way all of my senses ... via color, materials, contrast, sight, sound, contrast, shape, and line ... suggest relationships. I utilize a variety of materials; new, found, and reclaimed to create art and objects influenced by my life experience. I make collage and mixed media art. I also make inventive, curious, and useful things by hand. I hold deep gratitude to the loving family and teachers in my life who inspired me to use my hands and creative energy.
How it’s Made
My journals are hand made with found, new, and upcycled materials, including papers, books, and textiles. I use artist quality adhesives, and acrylic mediums. I create many of the design elements myself and also use some widely available digital design elements. You will always see an eclectic selection of designs and materials. I dye papers using tea, coffee, koolaid, or fabric dye. Some items may include ecoprints made from pressing and processing collected flowers and leaves. I design a journal, then often make a limited run of that design. I glue, stitch, tie, and fasten elements in constructing the journals. These journals require considerable time to design and construct. I hope you appreciate my creative work.

PROCESSING TIME/ SHIPPING: All of the handmade goods in my store are ready to ship. When the item is NOT offered with free shipping, USPS First Class or USPS Priority shipping is used and calculated based on the destination and weight of the item. I ship within 3 days of receiving your order.
