Meet the Maker
I've always been a maker, I love creating. I started making jewelry in 2000 when I decided to take a beading class with some friends. I enjoyed it so much that I took more and more classes in my spare time away from my interior design business. The more I made the better I got and soon I had people asking to buy jewelry I was making. One thing we do another and after about a year, I left the interior design business, created a website, and started doing art shows. I never looked back. I have been self-employed now since 2002 and I continue to do Art shows to this day. During the pandemic, I decided I wanted to learn how to do metalsmithing. So I took all of my classes on YouTube and I practiced practiced practiced. I learned about the tools and the techniques which I'm still learning. I love working for myself and creating beautiful jewelry that people love. Locally, you can find my jewelry at Old Town, Artisan, Studios, Borrego Springs Art Institute, and Cabot Museum

How it’s Made
Every pair of earrings starts with a sheet of recycled Sterling silver metal textured with a rolling, mill, or hammer to achieve a specific pattern. Then the earrings are filed, forged, drilled with a hole for an ear wire, or soldered with a post then they are polished and tumbled until they look perfect. There are no two pairs of earrings alike. Every pair is made by hand. I use 20 or 22-gauge sheet metal so that the earrings are substantial yet not heavy. I try to make every pair of earrings unique so that they stand out as something that is not mass-produced. I want them to be a unique piece of art.
