About this Product
The Tea House Cotton Kerchief was inspired by my Japanese roots and the desire to find a no-waste/eco-friendly solution to the million reasons moms need to use a wipe or tissue.
In Japan, a cotton handkerchief is a staple in any woman's purse. Used by my own mother to dry hands, wipe mouths, and catch some tears, I remember fondly that she always had one on hand.
The Tea House Cotton Kerchief has been redesigned to fit a modern mama's needs but to also inspire a love of reusable textiles- use them as burp cloths, towels, and even fashionable enough to wear as a scarf! These cloths are made with organic cotton & bamboo, hand dyed in small batches by me with a technique that results in a slightly marbled effect which adds dimension and character to each one! Due to the nature of hand dying - each one is slightly different and one of a kind! All colors are hand picked and inspired by nature.
Each Tea House Kerchief has been hand dyed using fiber reactive dyes - which means that the technique I use causes the dye to bond with the cotton fibers at a molecular level - therefore it is color fast and will not come out in the wash. It is also safe for babies to put in their mouths!
