Style #1 Swedish Patchwork--A 2.36" by 2.36" paper mache/cardboard cube, this ornament has only two colors: a warm cream basecoat and bright, candy cane red. The face of each side features a different hand painted design: Side 1: Has the words, "Joy of Friends" with a folk style heart Side 2: A folk style snowflake Side 3: Has the words, "Joy of Family" with a folk style heart Side 4: A folk style tree The top features a scroll design in the shape of a heart in each of the four corners, while on top at the base of the ornament string sits a red bow. The ornament has two coats of eco friendly non toxic varnish to protect the design. Perfect for a folksy, country, or traditional Christmas look.
Style #2 Farmhouse Christmas-- Made of paper mache/cardboard and 2.36"by 2.36" this ornament begins with a slightly textured warm cream base coat. The face of each side features a different hand painted design: Side 1: Has the words, "Faith, Love, Hope" Side 2: Has a vignette of three pine trees on a snowy slope Side 3: Has the words, "Wonder, Silence, Peace" Side 4: Has a vignette of tiny scotch pine saplings and birds The top sports bird tracks and at the base of the ornament string is a burlap bow. The ornament has two coats of eco friendly non toxic varnish to protect the design. This would be the perfect ornament for a country, farmhouse, primitive, or woodland Christmas look.

Meet the Maker
Hello, and welcome to Yankee Doodle Darlings! We are a family of sisters that enjoy creating all types of things. Sewing, art, design, and anything that strikes our fancy! We grew up watching our mom sew and create items to decorate our house, and I guess you could say we caught the creative bug! It started out when we were little, making more dresses for our paper dolls (they never had enough!), and over the years it has landed us here.
How it’s Made
These ornaments are made using carboard/papermache structures that are hand painted with acrylics and sealed with non toxic varnish.
