After completing a fine sanding the whole box was primed with gesso.
Additional colors were used for more interest.
While the box is drying in its various stages, the clay and resin embellishments were being formed and hand painted.
The embellishments were put on the box.
The final step was to varnish the complete box.

How it’s Made
The making of this box.
After completing a fine sanding the whole box was primed with gesso.
A creative technique was used to made textured paper that was used on this box. Twelve hours later when that was dry the box was painted with the planned color scheme.
Dry brush technique was used to highlight the raised design.
Additional colors were used for more interest.
Beautiful printed paper was used to cover the inside of the box.
While the box is drying in its various stages the embellishments were being prepared and hand painted.
The embellishments and clasp were put on the box.
The final step was to varnish the complete box.
