About this Product

These 16 oz. soy candles have been hand poured into authentic antique blue mason jars - mostly Ball and Atlas brands. Each jar also comes with its own zinc lid with glass insert. This candle comes in Lily of the Valley - but we have several other scents so please check out our Etsy shop. When purchasing multiple candles, you are very welcome to have a variety of scents. We live on a farm that has been in existence for several generations and we have boxes of antique blue jars. These lovely jars tell the stories of a bygone era of hard work and a simpler time. Our blue jars really shouldn't be used for food processing anymore, but we have found another use for these beauties. They have become part of our soy candle collection. The wonderful thing about our soy candles is that soy cleans up with hot soapy water. So once you have burned the candle to the very end, you are able to wash out the residual wax and you have a beautiful piece of history. Each of our 16 oz. American Soy Candles have been poured in small batches to ensure a high-quality burn. American Soy gives a clean burn without the black soot, zinc or carcinogens that are put in the air with other candle wax forms. They will burn for 80+ hours and they will burn to the bottom of the jar without waste. Our wax is American Soy that comes from our own American soybean farmers which is very important to us. We have tons of other wonderful options for foodies, home chefs, and bakers so if you'd like to keep shopping for artisan jam, syrup, mustard, shrubs or herbs you can return to the Boondock Enterprises shop home by clicking the following link Shops :: Boondock Enterprises (goimagine.com)

Meet the Maker

Michael is Louisiana born and bred. He married a northern Minnesota farm girl and after retiring from the Air Force he found himself living in the woods of MN where temperatures can get lower than his Louisiana freezers. But he has adapted well.

Dawn is a Minnesota farm girl turned 1st grade teacher. She married her southern man and after he retired from the Air Force they moved back to her family farm. She has a passion for children, gardening and wholesome, simple foods .

After retiring from the military we purchased the farm Dawn was born and raised on in northern Minnesota with the hopes of finding a simpler lifestyle. With a great deal of faith and prayer we began working the land and found our passion. Our gardens grew, our fruit trees grew, our passion grew. We are personally involved in every step of our jelly and herb production. We till our soil, plant our crops, weed our gardens, and harvest our bounty. Our goal is always to provide a product that we would proudly serve on our table, to our friends and family.

We started out with simple vegetables grown for our local farmer's market and that expanded into homemade jams and jellies, artisan coarse ground mustard, herbal products and crafts. As we worked the farm in the summer heat and brutal winters, we soon found a need for quality skin care products and created our lotions and lotion bars.

All our fruits, berries and herbs are grown without chemicals or pesticides and are picked at the peak of ripeness, so the flavor is at its best. My jams and jellies are made with only a few key ingredients, so you won't have any problems trying to figure out what you are eating. They are gluten free, non-GMO, vegan and contain no artificial chemicals and preservatives; but only loads of sun ripened fruit, sugar and gluten free apple pectin Our herbs are also grown using natural, holistic practices and our herb products are also gluten and sodium free and non-GMO.
