This 10.25" hand-made spice grinder has been passionately crafted from Silver Maple that I select and harvest personally. The unique wood ensures that no 2 grinders will ever be the same. The grinder is finished with no less that 4 coats of polyurethane to ensure maximin protection for many years. It features the brilliantly designed CrushGrind mechanism that is produced in Denmark. It makes use of advanced ceramic construction that consistently provides a smooth and reliable grinding experience. It is ideal for grinding pepper, salt and dry spices and features a bottom mounted adjustment knob for course to fine grinding. This grinder features a lifetime warranty against parts and workmanship and will be repaired or replaced in the event of a failure due to normal use.

How many things in your home are really made with love?
Objects have an energy and the things that surround us can have an affect on our lives. This might sound a little strange, but its something I think about all the time while I am creating an object that someone will have in there home and be handled and used often. My goal is to create objects that are not only functional and beautiful, but contain all the passion and joy and love that was used to make them. It is my hope that all of that energy can be felt as soon as you pick up and hold one of my pieces.
How it’s Made
Every grinder blank is selected and cut by me personally. I responsibly harvest all of my material locally. The blanks are rough-turned and allowed to air dry for at least 9 months, up to a year before the grinder is re-turned, sanded, and finished with several coats of durable polyurethane. The grinders all feature the Crushgrind ceramic mechanism that are designed and made in Denmark. These grinders have a mortar and pestle design which makes them perfect for salt, pepper, and almost any other dry spice that you care to grind.
Shop Policies
Processing Time: All products are handmade but are listed on the site after completion. Each item is handmade and one of a kind. With that variations will occur. Custom orders are accepted however processing time will not be included in shipping. Maker will give a quote of price and processing time dependent on item, materials, finish, and order size at the time of order.
Rush Orders: All products are made & shipped according to the date the order was received. If you need your order in a hurry, there may be an additional fee which will range between $5.00 and $15.00 dependent on the complexity of the request. This fee will be quoted prior to rush agreement finalization.
Shipping: All products are shipped by United States Postal Service First Class Mail Service, First Class Package Service, or Priority Mail - depending on final package size & weight. A Tracking Number & Estimated Delivery Date will be provided, when applicable, upon order shipment. If you need your order delivered faster, or if you would like it shipped by a different carrier, please contact us for details & pricing.
Damage / Loss: Nicola Aloisio Woodturning is not responsible for damage or loss caused or occurring during shipment. Once your order is turned over to the shipping carrier, it is now their responsibility. It is suggested that you purchase or request insurance on high dollar value orders, for added peace of mind.
Handmade Disclaimer: All items listed are handmade. Unless the product is a custom order the item pictured is the item that will be received. As with all handmade, one of a kind items there may be imperfections. These are part of the character of the product.
Customs and import taxes: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
Cancellations: Cancellations are accepted prior to the item being shipped on non-custom orders. Customized items will be subject to a 20% restocking fee prior to shipping. After shipping all purchases are non-refundable.
Returns: Returns on non-custom products up to 14 days after the purchase in original, undamaged packaging. The buyer is responsible for all return costs, and the item must be returned in the condition it was received in. There will not be any returns for customized items.
