We are a family business, started 13 years ago by my wife and me while I was a graduate student at the University of Iowa. At that time, we were expecting our first child and started this venture to help support our growing family. Over the years, we've built a strong reputation, having sold on Etsy for 13 years with great success. However, due to unforeseen reasons, our account was suspended, and now we are excited to bring our craftsmanship to the GoImagine community.

How it’s Made
The It Takes Two crochet dolls are a true collaboration between my wife and me. She lovingly crafts each May and Cody doll, paying close attention to the characters’ details, ensuring they are both charming and durable. Using soft yarn and intricate crochet techniques, she brings the characters to life.
I create the doll stands from solid walnut wood, carefully shaping and sanding them by hand. Each stand is designed to securely hold the dolls, adding a rustic, handmade touch that complements the crochet work perfectly. Finally, I finish the wood with a natural oil to highlight the wood grain.
