About this Product

Snuggle up with this new handmade patchwork quilt (45.25" x 54.75") made of quality batik fabrics in all shades of the rainbow. This patchwork quilt is finished and ready to ship to you the next business day.
This would make a beautiful wall quilt, lap, or throw quilt for your home. A handmade quilt brings a sense of warmth and comfort to a room whether you use it to stay warm or to add a pop of color. It would make a fun baby crib or toddler quilt for either a boy or a girl. This could also be used as a wheelchair lap quilt.

This would look great over the back of a couch as a sofa throw or at the foot of a bed. You can also use it as a coverlet for a bed.

Size: The finished quilt measures 45.25" x 54.75" as shown. It is machine stitched and machine quilted.

Fabric: This lap quilt is machine pieced and made with over 20 different batiks in rainbow shades of blue, yellow, red, green, pink, orange, and many more. The fabrics are from the Riley Blake Collection "April Showers" along with a few of my own. All fabrics are 100% cotton, new and unwashed.

Batting: Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Polyester

Border: The border is a deep blue batik with an abstract pattern.

Backing and Binding: The binding is a yellow cotton. The backing is a multi-color batik with green, yellow, and pink tones.

Quilting: This lap quilt is machine stitched with a diagonal quilting pattern.

Made in a smoke-free pet friendly home. All of my quilt tops are stored in sealed containers.

Colors: I have done my best to show the colors as accurately as possible, but due to different monitors the colors may appear slightly darker than they actually are. If you are in doubt, please read the written description for clarification. You can also contact me and ask a specific question.

Meet the Maker

There is no such thing as too much fabric!

I started sewing when I was about 7 or 8. With guidance from my mom I started with doll clothes, worked my way up to clothing for myself, and then on to quilts. My mom and I used to do craft shows in the 1980's and 90's.

One of my more notable and very cool accomplishments is having made wall quilts for Walt Disney World back in 2000 and 2001.

After my son was born I took about a 15 year hiatus from quilting but now am back in my sewing room and loving it!

These days I love working with bold batik fabrics. The bright fun colors make me happy and I hope they make you happy too!
