Meet the Maker
Hello all and welcome to my shop, My name is Darlene and I simply adore textiles and design. We decided to start D. Rene & Co as a way to create reusable bags and totes from natural raw material like canvas and leather that could fit any lifestyle. As time went on we expanded to small kitchen textiles and home goods, accessories and stationary. I have two girls 13 years apart who always love to help me in our creative process and hope that one day they too will continue what I have built. Our double doodle Finnegan is a wonderful handful and many times you can tell he is our dog as he is always covered in thread and runs away with the fabric remnants from the design room that fall on the floor (there is never a dull moment). My adoration for scientific botanical illustrations also reflects in my art and designs. I left the corporate world behind and took a chance on starting my own business and here we are today. I put a large emphasis on quality, durability, timelessness and simplicity and I hope you like our products.
How it’s Made
Each wine tote is handcrafted in small batches using premium cotton duck canvas for lasting durability. The same sturdy fabric lines the inside, while reinforced stitching and rolled cotton webbing handles ensure strength and comfort. Finished with a natural cowhide leather tag and logo charm, every carrier reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and timeless style. Designed for both elegance and function, each piece is made by hand to bring beauty and practicality to every bottle you carry or gift.

Shop Policies for D. Rene & Co
PROCESSING TIME:
All times are handmade and made to order. Once we receive a notification that an order has been placed we prep the order and immediately cut the pattern for bags and totes and any kitchen textiles, or organizational textiles within 24 hours. Each bag or tote has a processing time of approximately 5-7 business days for one bag. More than one bag per order (approx 2-5 bags) may take 7-10 business days. We will notify each customer with larger orders exceeding 2-5 bags and totes of the extended time frame should it be an extremely large order for events and conventions. No matter the item we will always have regular communication with our customers on the process of your order from start to finish.
Bags & Totes:
Our bags and totes are handmade and made to order. Sometimes we may have pre-made bags and totes available in the shop. Pre-made bags and totes ship within 1-3 business days once we receive payment. For made to order bags and totes the process time is 5-7 business days for one bag. If there is more than one bag/tote in the order please be prepared that it may take a little longer to fill. Approximately 7-10 business days. I am the only person that designs and makes each order.
SHIPPING:
Processing Time:
We typically ship orders the next day after the processing time. Example: If the processing time is 5-7 business days then the 8th day your items will be dropped off to be shipped. Once shipped we are not responsible for the time it takes to get to each customer. We use USPS Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage. Once the order has been scanned at the post office and track able it is now the responsibility of the shipping service to make sure it gets to its destination. We do not offer refunds on lost packages. Please note that once you place your order you confirm that you agree with our shop policies. Free shipping is offered to orders $50.00 and over.
Shipping address:
Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for items lost or delayed to incorrect address. The shipping address provided by each customer on each order will automatically generate a shipping label from the address you provide at check out.
Shipping Insurance:
We do not provide shipping insurance. If an order is of a large amount we will contact the customer and discuss offering an additional cost to upgrade to shipping insurance. This is handled on a case by case basis.
RETURN POLICY:
Bags & Totes:
All sales are final on bags and totes. Any item where there is an option to choose a specific color is considered custom. All sales are final on CUSTOM orders. If a pre-made bag or tote was purchased we will gladly accept return on items that are unused with original tags on and in their original condition. We take photos of all items before they are shipped out and kept on file to review once we receive a return request. Once the items are approved for refund we will process returns.
All other items:
Home goods, leather goods, accessories and paper goods and stationary are returnable. Items must be unused, in original packaging not damaged and in their original condition. We take photos of all items before they are packaged and shipped out and kept on file to review and compare once we receive a return request.
Return Time Frame:
Returns must be initiated within 7 days after your items have been delivered. We will confirm with the shipping carrier when the order was delivered.
Refunds:
If we are able to exchange an item, we will issue a full refund of the item in question once we determine whether an item is returnable per our shop policies and procedures, excluding return shipping costs, upon receipt of the returned item. Refunds could take 5-10 business days to process.
Exchanges:
We will gladly exchange items for the same item if there is an item defect during making process or for a different item of equal or higher value if stock permits.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of the order being placed. Once we have cut the pattern and prepped the order the order cannot be cancelled.
ORDER CONFIRMATION:
You will receive an order confirmation at check out once your order has been placed. Please check your email for any important details or shipping updates.
