About this Product
This luxury handmade purse is crafted from Lionbrand mercerized 100% natural fiber yarn. The strap is a vinyl faux leather with a beautiful embossed finished. The crochet exterior of the purse is done in a granny stripe pattern. The interior liner is made from coastal cotton fabric that features sea turtles, seahorses, shells, and starfish. It also features a small, sewn in pocket for your phone. Crochet is a special fiber art in that it must be done by hand. Each stitch is made by hand and builds upon the next stitch to create the item you see here. This piece took me approximately 10 hours to complete the purse exterior and interior liner. This purse can be machine washed and dried once the hardware and strap are removed. The strap was purchased through another handmade Etsy business, LavenderHillKnits. The Gate rings to connect the strap and hardware to the purse were also purchased from another Etsy seller, PurseSuppliesRUs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

From Necessity to Passion
My grandmother taught me to crochet back in 2000. Back then, I didn't have the patience for the calm, repetitive work that crochet is. Now that calm repetitive work is therapeutic to me and I love getting to see the cool things I can create with my hands.
I dove deeper into crochet in 2016 when I was short on money and still wanted to present my family and friends with gifts. I broke out the yarn and got on Youtube to find so many cute and beginner-friendly tutorials to follow. Now I love to crochet purses, clothing, and accessories, but my specialty is critters. I enjoy bringing an item to life stitch by stitch. Now I even design my own critters-with a Florida flare.
