About this Product

This hand-embroidered design features a large bouquet of pansies in a basket that resembles the Longaberger baskets—you know? Yes, it's stitched precisely to resemble one. I adore Longaberger baskets and colorful pansies,so I combined them. I hope you all like this pattern. The price is a bit on the higher side due to the cost of materials and the time-consuming handcrafting. It took me about six hours to hand-stitch it.

Size: 5.3cmX5.6cm  (the pattern)

Hi, I am Valen. Welcome to my store!

I love stitching with needle and thread and painting with acrylics on all kinds of materials. Thank you for visiting my little shop.I hope these handmade treasures, made with care and creativity, can spark a little happiness in your life.

How it’s Made

I love baskets and flowers. I wanted to create a sense of autumn's lingering brilliance and vibrant colors.

The basket is embroidered to mimic the design of a Longaberger basket, while for the flowers, I chose pansies that bloom in autumn (though they also flower in spring). Their colors are vibrant.

Materials I used:

For the base, I selected a yellow small-bee print fabric from Moda Fabrics. Made of pure cotton, it has a pleasant texture, and the yellow resembles the color of sunflowers, which feels very autumnal. For the basket and some of the flowers, I used gradient and variegated threads, with shades shifting from light to dark, creating a more natural look that especially matches the natural hues of pansies. To give the pansies a raised effect, I embroidered them in multiple layers, making them appear three-dimensional. The golden thread is from the DMC brand, which helps highlight the golden-yellow center of the flowers.

It may be a small piece, but from conception to completion, it took me five or six hours. So, embroidery is indeed quite time-consuming.
