Meet the Maker
Hi and welcome to my passion project. I like to think of it as where art meets the Spirit. I am Nichole C Cole, the designer of Nichole Cole Unique Creations.
I discovered that I had an affinity for painting in my early 30’s. Some of my favorite memories took place at my marble vanity in my closet (It was a big closet!). My best friend, aka my Mom, and I would spend hours painting and laughing. I enjoy any and all paint mediums, right down to pour painting with acrylics and designing my own resin jewelry.
Now in my 50’s, I have more time to invest in my growing art business. I enjoy unique photography and abstract art, both digital and hands-on. At times I even draw digitally on my own photograph to create an especially unique work of art. I typically use more than one type of medium on my hands-on pieces, too. I find using multiple mediums gives my art that special quality that speaks to my Spirit. When I’m not creating art, I tutor children with special needs and teach English as a second language online.
My number one defense against stress has been developing a close relationship with the Lord. My number two defense is art.
Eventually, I plan to move to the country and escape this asphalt jungle. For now, I paint in my tiny apartment that I share with my daughter. I wear my necklace with my Mom’s ashes and dream of the days when we painted in my closet. It’s comforting to paint with my best friend once again.
