About this Product
This rug is woven in a pattern called Shadow Weave that gives it the appearance of blocks of color that shift back and forth. It is a cotton warp and cotton rags with pink and cream for colors, It is 30" by 43", so quite large for a throw rug.

How it’s Made
About your cotton rag rug:
All the fiber used in my cotton rugs is sourced from resale shops, so I know it is cotton and structurally sound. I hand cut it into rag strips and sort it by color. Sometimes I overdye the fabric before cutting to get the colors I need. Sometimes I overdye the rug after weaving, to unite the colors. I let you know about dying on the tag, so you don’t accidentally dye all the underware pink! I typically use cotton warp because it is sturdy and long wearing. Cotton rag rugs will naturally fray a bit. You can trim the frays or enjoy the texture! Hand wash with a mild soap, roll in a towel, and dry flat to keep it in good shape.
