Thank you for visiting the shop. I’m in Central America and will be learning about the Maya people…..and their weaving, of course! You are welcome to shop while I’m away. I will only be able to respond to any questions, and also ship your order promptly, in the first week of November. Peace, Jan

About this Product

More upcycling! Look what happens when random greens and blues are tied together for a new weft. Gotta love the texture on this one! It's all cotton and linen. It will really stand out on your dinner table.

Jan’s Handwovens & More

Thanks for checking out my handwoven pieces! I’m a lifetime fiber person, taught by my mom to sew and knit from an early age. Now, I’m creating with fiber, texture, and color primarily at the loom.

Weaving by hand has many steps, requiring time, concentration, and patience. For me, the process is often centering and meditative (unless of course I run into knots and tangles!). Nearly each piece is one of a kind.

Dorset buttons, a kind of “micro weaving”, originated 400 years ago using slices of sheep’s horn. (No, I don’t use sheep’s horn!) Hope you’ll enjoy wearing or gifting these unique pieces of Dorset button jewelry.

My daughter Elizabeth is a master knitter. I’m pleased to carry her colorful one of a kind wool hats, also in the shop.

I love sharing my work, and figure when I send out your order from Jan’s Handwovens & More, I’m sending a bit of beauty and joy out into the world!
