How it's made:
This custom and handmade pencil, like all my other pencils, was handcrafted by me in my woodshop. These are not mass produced pencils and each one is handcrafted by myself so you are getting a craftsman's touch and love of their craft with each pencil. First, I hand select an exquisite piece of timber that will match the pencil components the wood will be paired with. Second, I take the blank and turn it down with my lathe to fit the Vertex style pencil components. Finally, the pencil is finished with cyanoacrylate and polished to very a high gloss which protects the wood and gives it a glass like finish. All of my pencils have already been produced by me so you know you will be getting the pencil pictured in the listing. This eliminates the guess work on how it will look like once made and my pencils are ready to ship without long waiting times.
About your pencil:
The Vertex style pencil comes with a thick 2mm lead which virtually eliminates breaking. By removing the cap of the clicker you can insert the lead and sharpen it. The hexagonal design prevents it from rolling off your desk. Your pencil will also come with a gift box ready to give to someone or for yourself to store your newly acquired mechanical pencil.

Hello, welcome to my shop. My name is Michael and I am from Lubbock, Texas. I am a father to 3 amazing boys and a husband to a beautiful wife. I am a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University and have deep roots in both Texas and New Mexico. There is no other place I would rather live than the Llano Estacado region of the United States.
In search of a hobby, I dabbled in woodworking in 2012 as an escape from my day to day full time job. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Now I just try and find time to do it between all the activities associated with family life. Woodworking gives me a creative outlet that allows me to focus on art and functional pieces.
I source materials from all over the world and use mediums such as wood, resins, and plastics. On occasion, I get to mix these mediums together in a piece.
I welcome special orders and I am always open to working with you in order to come up with that special "something."
Shop Policies
- Processing Time: Most of my items have already been made so you know what you are getting once you purchase it. This also helps cut down processing time and I typically have the item in the mail to you in 1-2 business days.
- Return Policy: Returns are accepted within 7 days from purchase with the return of the item to me. If an item is engraved or custom made returns are not accepted unless it is due to craftmanship.
