100% acrylic yarn, polyfill fiber for stuffing

Hat sizing based on head circumference:

6-12 mo fits 16"-18" (41-46 cm)

1-3 yr: 18"-20" (46-51 cm)

3-5 yr: 20"-21.5" (51-53.5 cm)

Teens/Small Adult: 21.5"-22.5"

Adult Medium: 22"-23.5"

Adult Large: 23.5"-25"

Wash & Care:

It is recommended to hand wash and lay flat to dry to maintain its quality.

Safety:

Babies or small children should not be left alone with any handmade items that have braids or buttons.

How it’s Made

Every hat at Winter Blooms Boutique is custom made to order. The hippo hat is carefully handcrafted using soft 100% soft acrylic yarn. First the hat is crocheted like a blank canvas for facial features and ears to be attached later in the process. The facial pieces, such as eyes, muzzle, nostrils, teeth and 2 ears are made next. Once all the pieces are completed the hat is ready to be assembled. All the facial features and the ears are securely sewn to the hat. The muzzle is stuffed with polyfill fiber for a 3D live look. The braids are added and tied to each ear flap. All the pieces are sewn in multiple times to prevent them from coming off from daily wear.

The hippo hat can be crafted in grey color combos or any other custom color you like. It is available in sizes ranging from baby to adult.

  • All items at Winter Blooms Boutique are handmade to order. Our shop DO NOT accept returns or exchanges due to this nature so that we minimize inventory keeping. However, I would waive the return/exchange policy when mistakes happen on my part.

  • Request a cancellation before item is shipped. Once shipped I can't cancel the order anymore.

  • Our shop is NOT responsible for mail carrier mistakes. All outgoing mails come with tracking number.
