Gibson Girl era and Prince Edward Island, here we come with this sweet dress and hat combo!
The dress is made of pink cotton fabric that has a tone on tone woven print. The lined bodice is gathered in front and has a high round neckline with a U shaped yoke and ruffle. Brown ric rac following the yoke finishes the bodice's look, wrapping all the way to the back. The long sleeves are a moderate leg o' mutton style. The lined skirt is done in the typical A-line style of the 1890's and has a very slight train. Dress closes with metal snaps. A faux pink sash comes with the dress and sits below the bodice to create the up and coming "pouter pigeon" look that would be all the rage in a few years. A moderate ruffle edges the skirt's hem and is adorned with more of the brown ric rac.
The hat is a straw boater made from jute. Brown trim encircles the crown and a cluster of a pale pink bow and large cream rosette nestled in back completes the look.
This dress fits 11.5" Fashion Dolls/1:6 scale dolls/play scale dolls (fits best on a doll that is either articulated or can raise its arms to the sides and ones with standard or narrow hips; some dresses may fit wider hipped dolls depending on style; please contact if not sure) and are created to hold up to much use. All our doll dresses are made, not only with style and beauty in mind, but durability as well. The bodices are lined, and all seams are finished with multiple zig-zag stitching.
Care Instructions: For removing dust and small particles from the dress and hat use some packing taped rolled up, sticky side out, and gently dab at the dust and particles to carefully remove them. For small dirt spots use a clean wash cloth or rag and rub the spot out with lukewarm soapy water. DO NOT get hat wet! Iron on low setting if desired, watching out for lace and trims that might melt.

Hello, and welcome to Yankee Doodle Darlings! We are a family of sisters that enjoy creating all types of things. Sewing, art, design, and anything that strikes our fancy! We grew up watching our mom sew and create items to decorate our house, and I guess you could say we caught the creative bug! It started out when we were little, making more dresses for our paper dolls (they never had enough!), and over the years it has landed us here.
How it’s Made
All our dresses are handmade by us using quality materials, and old fashioned industry, labor, and skill. ALL our fashion doll clothes have lined bodices unless specified and ALL our fashion doll clothes have finished seams either by multiple zigzagging or by enclosure; depending on the fabric and dress style, the skirts of our doll dresses are also often lined or have an attached petticoat (see individual listings). We strive to create fashion doll clothes that are so realistic and beautiful that our customers wish they themselves could wear the dress and yet durable enough that they become a family heirloom handed down to future generations. A Yankee Doodle Darlings fashion doll dress is designed to fit like a glove yet be easy to put on and take off. We try to sewn on all the little details such as buttons, beads, and trims for durability but at times must use a durable glue (see individual listings).

We understand that buying clothing online can be a risk, which is why we allow returns on clothing. Please see below for particulars.

We do not do exchanges. For clothing, if you realize the size you ordered is too small or too big, we suggest returning the item for a refund and reordering in the correct size.
