Hocus Pocus Book Box. The box is 13.5H x 11.5L x 3 1/4W. This box is handmade. I used clay and different mediums to replicate the book. The inside of the box is also textured and painted.
This box could be used to store your Halloween decor or memorabilia.
Care: Wipe with a dry cloth.

How it’s Made

Here is the process.
Design: I start with planning and designing the book. I have to measure and choose the designs and or combination of elements that I want to use on the box. After that, I start molding it.
Molding: I will first prep my box by applying gesso to make sure my surface is ready to be worked on. I will mold my pieces out of air-dried clay and glue them to the box. I have to wait for it to completely dry before I seal it for the first coat, and I will move to the painting process.
Paint: I will paint my box and seal it multiple times between coats of paint. When all the painting is done I will move to the last step of sealing the box with a sealer.
Sealing: Now most of it is done. I will check and make sure that everything is looking good before the last coat of sealer.
Drying: The last step is drying. Usually, it will take a few days for it to fully dry, and then I can add gold wax and other embellishments in the end.
