Meet the Maker
Hi Everyone! My name is Mary Lowe and this is my shop, The Spicy Punkin! I am a country girl who lives in the Mountain State of West Virginia. I live in a small rural town called Wallace. It has always been a dream of mine to own my own small business, and so The Spicy Punkin was born. I am a wife and Mother to 3 grown children and Mamaw to 2 beautiful granddaughters, with two more precious Grandchildren on the way. I am also a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in 2016 with Hodgkins Lymphoma and went into remission in December of 2016. I have been in remission ever since. I love to create tumblers, mugs, socks, t-shirts, and all sorts of crafts. I am a DIYer at heart. We built our own home in 2010 and have lived in it ever since. I love to decorate in the Farmhouse style. Many of my crafts are Farmhouse style. When I am not creating I am enjoying my time with my family. My husband and I have been married for almost 30 years. We were both born and raised in West Virginia.
How it’s Made
These tumblers are made by using a sublimation wrap that I print off with my sublimation printers. I wrap each tumbler very carefully and use heat tape to secure the wrap in place. I then place the tumbler in my HTVRont Auto Heat Press for 3 minutes at 390 degrees. I then turn the tumbler a full 180 degrees and press for 3 more minutes. When That is done, I stick just the top end in the press for about 1 minute and then I put the bottom in for another minute. This makes sure there is no ghosting on your tumbler. After this I let the tumbler cool down and peel the wrap, revealing a gorgeous tumbler.
