UNIQUE HAND-MADE ILLUSTRATIONS: This greeting card set includes six assorted designs that feature a different bird image on each front cover; these cards feature a luxurious wrap-around cover that extends the texture of the front image slightly around the creased spine to the back.
HIGH-QUALITY PRINTS: Each card is printed in-studio individually using an 8-color dye-based ink printer on 80lb/215gsm professional matte double-sided photo paper, which brings out the lustrous colors and detail; the smooth surface allows you to use pens, markers, or pencils with ease.
HANDMADE IN THE USA: The birds on the fronts were each illustrated by Corey Johnston during his live art streams with the input of his family and friends. Using Procreate on the iPad and specially developed brushes that lean into texture and detail, each image is unique and special.
NO AI: These cards were done in Procreate, and are not generated by AI. They were completed by an actual human artist, without tracing, using visual acuity to curate colors, shapes, and overall aesthetic. We appreciate your support!

This shop features the hand-drawn illustration of Corey Johnston, an artist living in San Diego, CA, USA. With a strong focus on charming, idyllic images that entertain the heart and spirit, this shop endeavors to put lovely pictures on display in your home that you can be proud of!
Featuring unique calendars, greeting cards, and other items, the pieces seen here are all illustrated, printed individually in-house, hand-assembled at home with heart, and sent off to you by the artist himself. The images are painted digitally with specific intent: to brighten your day and create more beauty in your life. It's a labor of love.
All items are printed individually using an 8-color dye-based inkjet printer. All images were created using Procreate on an Apple iPad.

How it’s Made
These birds were the first in a very long line of birds with framing circles around them. I'd started off doing these as a set for a specific series of greeting cards, but I was so happy with the results that I kept going... I ended up with a series of 100 birds which I'm still working on getting made available!
This set of six was my very first. The birds include a gnatcatcher, two rollers, a bee eater, a robin, and a purple bird of unknown origin... I surrounded them with circles and crosshatching because instinctually that appealed to my own sense of graphic design and composition.
I rendered all of these digitally on my 12.9" M1 iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil in Procreate. Then I print each set individually as they're ordered on my own in-studio printer, a Canon Pixma Pro 200 with eight dye-based colors for incredibly rich hues and details. Then I package them all up and send them to you!
