Welcome to the JeanyBeanz store!
My work is inspired by the beauty of Southern California, from the beaches to the inland deserts. SoCal’s deserts are places where I go to relax and “re-set my switches” from the hustle and bustle of life. While there I can also hunt for various color-filled rocks to be brought home, then cut and polished into cabochons for setting into my pieces. When I’m not chillin’ out at the desert, I can be found at the shore of the Pacific Ocean prowling for awesome specimens of seashells and rocks. (California is a rock-hounder’s dream, with semi-precious stones scattered from the deserts to the ocean!) Many of my jewelry pieces include locally found shells or rocks that have been polished and set.
I enjoy metalworking: there is something about crunching a fine-bladed jeweler’s saw into metal that soothes my soul! The enameling process opened up a whole new avenue of painting for me, and can add a unique “pop” to the piece. I have been happily puttering in my workshop for almost 15 years creating JeanyBeanz jewelry.
