Orion Homestead Creations was started by a stay at home mom with two special needs boys using yarn as therapy to create cozy crochet and knitted items for you to keep for yourself or gift to your family and friends! The goal with this has been to build a business that can sustain extra therapies and activities to help the boys grow and mature into young adults and functional members in society. Part of this is to start a living trust we can put money in to, with the boys as the recipients when we as parents are no longer available to support them. In 2023, my husband dove into experimenting with resin. This came about after being unable to do his preferred art of painting due to medications for various health issues. The resin helped him fall in love again with color theory and working through bouts of depression. In 2024 we decided to rebrand this business to add his creations and turn this into a family business while keeping the overall goals intact.
