The Beach Mystic

Hi there! I’m Linda Anne aka The Beach Mystic. I wanted to create unique art and jewelry with crystals. In researching and looking for inspiration, I learned about orgone generators aka orgonite and decided to make some.  This provided the opportunity to learn about resin as a new medium and to create crystal infused resin art.

Orgonite is part home decor and part metaphysical tool consisting of metals and crystals (specifically quartz) in resin. It is believed the resin (being an organic compound like our bodies) draws frequencies/energies in. The metals push them out (similar to a led vest for x-rays). The crystals (quartz) transmute the energies providing protection and raising the energetic frequency of those around it. This frequency is known as orgone energy aka cosmic life-affirming energy, chi, prana, ether, etc. The pressure of the resin curing is said to assist in the crystal activation as well.

Orgonite is considered more of a tool for spiritual practice than of science. I make no claims that any of my creations will cure, treat, prevent or aid in diagnosis of any disease or illness. Crystal energy and metaphysical concepts aside, each piece is a unique work of art.

Supplies are consciously sourced by only purchasing crystals from reputable sellers and collaborating with other small businesses for supplies. Many items I use are up-cycled, donated or traded as well.

Working with crystals appeals to my metaphysical side while resin art appeals to my scientific side and sometimes all sides intertwine. Music is always played while created and my craft room is a sacred space.  Though resin is my primary focus, I also enjoy paint crafts, origami, decoupage, digital photography, and recently began sewing again.
