Hello! My name is Luvenia Humphrey. I love all things art and I especially love wearing art. That's why I created Venia Ethnic Designs where I get to create elegant "art to wear" for the free spirited individual. I create each unique garment from beginning to end which includes choosing the fabric, the dyes, creating the designs on the fabric, and sewing the finished piece. My designs are one of a kind and made one at a time by the creator herself, me, Venia! Luscious beautiful colors and designs are what I love! Only natural fiber fabrics such as silk, rayon, linen, and cotton are used to create the majority of my fashions. Beautiful polyester fabrics are utilized as well for some items. My cocoon jackets, shawls, kimonos and ponchos are made from natural fibers and are hand dyed and, as with all of my creations, hand stitched. My hand dyed garments are dyed using ancient African and Japanese techniques to produce vibrant colors and stunning patterns.
