Until 2007, I worked as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. Unfortunately, my career came to an end due to a workplace accident where I slipped and fell, resulting in a permanent disability. The incident caused significant nerve damage in my back, which extended into my arms, rendering them too immobile to effectively communicate as an interpreter requires. However, through years of dedicated physical therapy, I have regained some of my fine motor control. While also caring for my elderly mother, I now have the opportunity to share my artistic talents with others.
