Cider Rose

Hello and welcome to Cider Rose, we're glad you're here! We are Katee and Rob, the husband and wife team that run Cider Rose.

The inspiration for Cider Rose originated from a beloved family tradition. I adore family traditions; they are the ties that bind us even when we are separated. My family has an annual Christmas party where each family makes a small gift to hand out to each of the other families. I always make a handmade Christmas ornament each year, so I opened Cider Rose with a selection of my handmade sled ornaments and a line of hand-painted wood slice ornaments and holiday-themed paint-your-own magnets.

Knowing I needed more than a holiday to realize my dream of being a creative business owner and helping to support my family, I began thinking of all the fun crafts and activities I did with my kids when they were little, the memories they created, and the sweet keepsakes I have to this day that came from all those crafts. It’s such a fun, creative, and meaningful way to spend time with your kids. It teaches self-expression and fine motor skills, and it creates a relaxed environment to unwind and chat about their day. Their creativity comes to life, you make memories, and maybe, just maybe, a family tradition is born! So Cider Rose evolved into what it is today: arts and crafts to inspire celebration, quality family time, making memories and family keepsakes, or "crafting traditions," as I like to call it.

Our most popular designs have been inspired by our own family traditions. I took past crafts I created for my kids and packaged them up into complete kits for busy parents, teachers, grandparents, and anyone else looking for a meaningful, creative gift to give. Whether it’s for a birthday celebration, a holiday, a classroom party, or a rainy day activity, our paint-your-own canvases and magnets are made to be displayed, used, and cherished as a sweet family keepsake.

What started out as a one woman show has naturally evolved, and as we have grown, Rob has become more involved with the day to day operations. I hand paint each and every canvas myself, and I hand-pour each plaster magnet. My husband and I bake each batch of magnets, and package, and ship everything from our home workshop. The ideas for our products initially came largely from the art and craft activities I had done with my kids, but more recently, product ideas have been inspired by popular requests from our customers for birthday themes and holiday parties.

I’ve always loved art and creative expression. I've painted since high school and I’ve always needed a creative outlet, and Cider Rose has been that for me. I love that I can work with our customers to create something tailored to their unique style or their particular birthday theme. It’s very gratifying, and I feel honored to create something unique and specialized for each family.

Our philosophy is pretty straight forward; to create quality, fun items for those both little and big. We love what we do and are grateful for the support we have been given. We hope you find something you like that we can make for you and yours.
