I began working with stained glass in the early 1980's but did not become serious about the craft until around 1990 when I set up a shop in my home in Taneytown, MD. In this shop I produced panels for sale as well as did custom panels, and did repair work under the name “Magic Moons Stained Glass.” I did a limited number of shows and was juried into the Sugar Loaf Festival around 2008.

From the first time I saw the colors and textures available in glass, I became intrigued with the possibilities for unique and beautiful pictures. I love that changes in light from morning to afternoon, or from sunny to cloudy, can react with the colors in ways that can change the mood of a picture from cheerful to pensive .

I have begun experimenting with the techniques, for example, mixing leaded and copper foil construction. More recently I have been attempting different techniques to produce 3-dimensional works. While I enjoy creating pieces which can be sold at a price point that makes them easily available, ($ 30.00 -135.00), I also produce many much larger pieces.

In 2009 we moved to Waynesboro and I continued to do repairs, custom work and doors inserts for our family company, American Eagle Doors & Windows. In 2018 I retired and set up a small shop in my garage where I am trading as Moon Light Glass Art. I create everything from window hangings, to garden display pieces, and wind chimes. I also repair antique window sashes and install stained glass panels in the sash.

I am available for custom work, or for repairs to damaged pieces. https://www.facebook.com/moonlightglassartPA/

I live in Waynesboro with my wife of 50 years (Jean), my mini-schnauzer (Lexi) and Jean’s six pound Maltese/Yorkie mix (Zoe) who is queen of the household.
