While taking part in the Tours for Fours program at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City with my family one morning, children were encouraged to attach randomly shaped wooden objects to form unique art. As I watched the kids, and I experimented myself, I began to imagine more uniform pieces.
That was the inspiration. Then came the perspiration. After countless hours of computer designing, prototyping and consideration of the best material and manufacturing process, I realized laser cutting with birch was the best option for accuracy and quality.
With my own laser cutter, I am able to manufacture sets of Bennick Builders at a reasonable price with total control over quality and design.
