JNolan Design has been in business for over 20 years. I am a solopreneur that makes everything out of my home workshop.
I attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia while managing the picture framing department at TAWS (it was a center city art and print shop selling fine art materials, print and framing). Upon graduating, I had moved on to an ad agency job as production manger. I realized I enjoyed printing and more hands on applications and moved on to a large commercial print shop. When I got laid off, as a new dad and new VW van owner (I literally bought our van the day before getting laid off) I decided it was a good time to go out on my own and see what I could do. It's been such a pleasure being a stay at home dad, creator and business owner that gave me the time to be with my family.
Our family of 5 loves to travel, especially in our VW bus, which is the inspiration for much of my personal work. Travel and our van has been such a wonderful part of our family's lives - we have not only been able to experience so many wonderful places, we have made friends that are like a family to us.
