How our story began!
Welcome to Soil and Sawdust! Thank you for visiting our shop. We’re a husband-and-wife team with three active boys, and we’re thrilled to share our story with you. Our journey began with a passion for both woodworking and gardening, and crafting unique birdhouses was where it all started. Over time, however, as our business grew, we found ourselves dedicating more time to our top-selling items: floating shelves and mug racks. These pieces have become customer favorites, and we're excited to offer them as part of our collection. Though our focus has shifted, our love for crafting birdhouses remains at the heart of what we do. We still offer birdhouse kits and are always open to custom orders. Whether you’re looking for a personalized birdhouse or a DIY kit, we’re happy to create something special for you. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and finding inspiration in nature. Our boys share in our love for creativity, and together, we constantly explore new ways to bring that creativity into our work.
