From my small shop in the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri—where deer often graze outside the door—I create hand-turned bowls, platters, vases, honey dippers, ornaments, and other decorative and functional items.
I occasionally offer handcrafted furniture pieces made with traditional tools and joinery. Hand planes are used for dimensioning and finishing the wood. Chisels, mallets, and hand saws to craft mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joinery. Since these pieces take 1–3 months to build, they rarely become available. My lathe and bandsaw are the only stationary power tools in my shop—everything else is done with traditional hand tools.
