I try to put a little bit of the nature around me in this high elevation desert into everything I create. I love finding rocks and wood pieces that I would like to have to remind me of the desert and make something out of them for people to cherish. I always love to see these little beautiful things around on the ground in the places I go, and I collect them. I know other people do it too! So I thought why not make them into something wearable? Most of my jewelry is made with found objects.
I also make visual art --acrylic, marker, water soluble, soft pastel, ink, mixed media-- on various paper and canvas. I tend to work with abstract, surreal, expression, sometimes collage. There is a lot of symbolism in many of my pieces. I work with my heart and intuition, combined with technical knowledge. I like to experiment with different media together to come up with new ways of expressing myself. Also I love to draw technical pieces.
