You can see some of my process, my shop, and more on my Instagram.

All my items are handmade one at a time. I don't generally do batches unless specifically requested, so each piece is one of a kind.

Wood can be difficult to accurately capture in pictures, I make every effort to photograph each piece in a variety of lighting in order to best represent its true to life appearance. This of course depends on the display settings of your device, but it should generally be as best a representation of the my work I can possibly achieve.

I use a couple of different finishes on my bowls and other items, these include;

RMP finishes Half and Half; This is pure tung oil, thinned with citrus oil to aid in penetration. This finish offers a nice, warm luster, can be finished to varying degrees of shine, and is food safe. This is a great all around finish that protects and makes for reasonable water resistance. Easily my most used finish.

I also use beeswax or carnauba based wood wax products from RMP finishes as well, this is sometimes used to supplement the tung oil finish for heavy use pieces or often used by itself on pieces that won't be exposed to water. It's a low maintenance finish that's very easy to refresh at the consumer level.

I also sometimes use polished hard finishes in CA or epoxy, absolutely waterproof and durable, with a mirror like shine. It does eliminate the feel of the materials though, so I tend to prefer the others.

Unless specifically noted for individual pieces, I do not use any stains or dyes to enhance the color of the wood used, it is all natural. Keep in mind due to the nature of materials used there may be slight variations and imperfections to each piece, giving them a one of a kind character.

I began woodworking in 2014 as a way to manage my mental health after the military. As my skills and style have progressed and refined, I’ve been selling my work for 4 years now. I hope you enjoy my shop and find a piece you love for many years to come!
