Hi, I’m Angela and welcome to my shop “By Angela M.”
I have dabbled in the creative arts for most of my adult life, including photography, ceramics, painting, and even dance choreography. All of these were mostly hobbies, never favoring one over the other, just pursuing each as they ebbed and flowed in me. It wasn’t until I created my first quilt in 2013 that I found the source of my creative inspiration. From the first stitch, I was hooked. I had unknowingly continued a long line of family quilters that spans back generations. I guess you could say quilting is stitched into my DNA. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, though. All I began to see was fabric, fabric, fabric! With the creative energy flowing, I began to see various ways to apply quilting like oven mitts, pot holders, bowl cozies, etc. The current iteration of “By Angela M” was born. Every item you see is handmade by me in my home studio. I source from independent local fabric shops for the “fat” majority of my material. The quality in my work reflects the pure joy it brings me to make it. I sincerely hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you!
