Hello! Thanks for stopping by! Where do I start? At the beginning is a very good place. My name is Teresa and my husband's name is Brad. We are Firefly Creek Crafts.
When you are a little kid and you get asked what you want to be when you grow up, small business owner was never at the forefront of my mind. As I have gotten older I have realized that what's important is loving what you do and who you do it with, no matter what that is. I was excited when we decided to take the next steps in our adventure together and also, if I am being honest, to learn something new. I was overjoyed when our kids showed an interest in helping and being a part of the business as a well.
When I was little, there were many summer days and nights sitting outside on my front porch or in the yard in a lawn chair with my grandma listening to the birds and watching their behaviors. My grandma instilled my love for birds in me from when I was young. She was always reading from her bird books, playing bird calls and reciting quick facts. Even now, I think of her when there is a Cardinal near. Taking that love and turning it into a business is something I never thought would happen.
I was excited when Brad told me we could start adding candles and wax melts to our little shop. I am a sucker for the cozy feeling a candle or melt can exude. Curling up with a warm blanket and a good book is my favorite past time. I love the comfort and warmth a candle can bring to a space.
