My first sewing experience was when I was about 6 or 7. My mother gave me a little sewing kit and using the fabric from a dress I had out grown, sat beneath the apple tree in our backyard and stitched together my first purse.

Years later in my home economics class, Mrs. Kuesler introduced me to the sewing machine and a hot iron and well.... I knew in that moment I had found my "chocolate" in life. You know, the thing that really gets your creative juices flowing and just down right makes you happy.

It wasn't until our second child was born that I had the idea to sell some of my homemade creations at our local handcraft market. That was 30 years ago... I am still selling at that same market to date.

Thanks to my customers at the Eugene Oregon Saturday Market who pushed me to go on-line with my products, I now ship my bags all over the world now... It just amazes me. Every sale puts a smile on my face and inspires me to keep creating. It's a blessing, as sewing isn't something I do...it's part of who I am. I can no more stop sewing than breathing, it would seem.

I thank you for visiting my shop and hope you enjoy what you see! If you do...please share or tell a friend. Word of mouth has kept me in business for 3 decades now and I count my blessings for y'all daily!

Exactly what I was looking for! Great quality and beautiful design! Has plenty of space and is super comfortable to wear.
Easily one of my favorite Etsy purchases ever! The bag itself is absolutely darling and Lara was so easy to talk to about the little adjustments I was hoping to have made. She even told me about a liner color that I hadn’t thought would be available that turned out to pair beautifully with the gorgeous bee print of the bag! The bag itself is so sturdy and well-made. I’m notorious for going through backpacks like they’re made of paper, and aside from a Cordura backpack that has managed to keep up with me for a few years, this has been the only other backpack thus far to not show signs of strain right away from the way I pack it to the gills and drag it everywhere. The canvas is strong, the straps are comfortable, all the pockets are perfectly sized, and the overall layout is wonderfully well thought out. Truly a hidden gem. :)
This little backpack is gorgeous! Very sturdy and well constructed, and really pretty. I bought it to use instead of a handbag on a walking trip, and I believe it will suit perfectly. Outstanding product and it arrived quickly and included a little matching coin purse. Very well satisfied with this purchase.
Very cute and very well made. Holds everything I need! Very nice fabric. Packaged nicely and arrived early. Thanks!
Beautiful backpack! I can't believe how quickly it was made and shipped and then delivered. I will be using it as a diaper bag and purse and am excited to take it out. The bee fabric is so cute.
Absolutely adorable backpack! Excellent quality materials and construction. I got the smaller pack and it's the perfect size for me. Will definitely make future purchases!
I liked this backpack! There are lots of pockets which is helpful to organize your stuff for a trip. The downsides to this backpack is the zipper isn’t a smooth zip and the canvas material isn’t stretchy so if you’re trying to pack stuff in there, it is unforgiving. I was going to go with the large version of this backpack but honestly this was the perfect size for me. I took it to Disneyland and none of my stuff got wet from the water rides!
This thing is adorable. Thanks!
